Student Government is an opportunity for students to have a “voice” in the planning/running of Middle School activities including trips, social events, fundraising, rules, etc…
The club is active all year, with one to two meetings a month depending upon level of involvement.
Anyone can be in Student Government; however officers are elected by students.
There are no forms to fill out. To run for an office (Pres., VP, Sec. Treasurer or a Senator for each grade) students must be nominated, campaign, and present their platform at an assembly. To be a Rep. one must get elected in Social Studies class.
Officers will meet the 1 st Wed. of every month, and the General Assembly is the 3rd Wednesday of each month.
Student Government impacts all levels of our school environment. Last year we helped with trips, had a voice in rule making/changing, fundraised,
purchased basketball backstops, nets & balls, held a dance, and more...
Students will have direct input into how our school operates as well as gaining insight into the political process.
