Millbrook Middle School Students Make a Difference in the Lives of Students in Burma!

This school year, Millbrook Middle School ELA 8 students have had the wonderful opportunity to make a difference in the lives of poverty stricken students in Chin State, Burma. This winter they recorded videos reading children’s books to one another, and more recently, wrote letters to middle level students in Kaleymeyo, Burma.

Pictured above are some of our 8th grade students holding responses to their letters with ELA teacher, Mrs. Knapp, who delivered them after her Spring break teaching tour in Burma.  Also, Mrs. Knapp brought an honorary-traditional Burmese scarf from the school in Burma to present to Mr. D'Angelo (who has the scarf around his neck in the photo).
