The Millbrook Central School District is located approximately 75 miles north of New York City and 60 miles south of Albany in the scenic and historic Mid-Hudson River Valley. The community includes year-round residents, weekenders, summer residents and retirees. It covers an area of 75 square miles, consisting of beautiful rolling pastureland, ponds, streams and tree-lined streets that convey the feeling of quiet country living. Millbrook is quite fortunate to be located in an area that has easy access to many performing arts and cultural activities. It is located near Tanglewood for summer performing arts activities and has easy access to the many offerings of New York City.
The Millbrook Central School District serves the educational needs of students residing in the Village of Millbrook, Town of Washington, Town of Clinton, Town of Pleasant Valley, Town of Unionvale, Town of Stanford, and Town of LaGrange.
The school district is served by the Taconic State Parkway and has access to the New York State Thruway (I-87). Stewart and Albany International Airports are located within easy commuting distance of Millbrook.
