Sixty Millbrook High School freshmen, sophomores and juniors were celebrated for their outstanding achievements inside and outside the classroom during the Underclassmen Awards Ceremony on June 9.

Principal Eric Seipp marks this event as one of his most treasured occasions of the school year as it provides a chance to reflect on the past year and share the students’ successes with the community.

“It is also a time to recognize and honor the dedication, perseverance, and excellence of our students, and to inspire all of us to continue striving for excellence in our studies and in our lives,” Seipp said. “I am constantly amazed by the achievements of our students.”

Award categories included Outstanding Student given at each grade level (9-11), Leadership and Blazer P.R.I.D.E.

Students have shown a remarkable dedication to their studies by excelling in the classroom and participating in extracurricular activities, while making a positive impact in their community by volunteering their time for various causes.

“You are a true inspiration to all of us, and we are proud to call you Blazers,” Seipp said.

Seipp also took time to recognize the teachers who work tirelessly to help each student achieve their goals, as well as the parents and families who provide guidance to their children and support towards the school.

“Research states that children tend to model adult behaviors,” Seipp said. “When parents are actively involved in their schooling, children learn the importance of education and try to emulate those behaviors from their parents.”

Congratulations to everyone who got an award, you have earned it!
