Allison Schmid

Allison Schmid has been teaching art in the Millbrook Central School District since 2008.  She teaches Kindergarten through seventh grade, traveling between Elm Drive Elementary, Alden Place Elementary and Millbrook Middle School.  It’s impossible to not run into her!

Mrs. Schmid grew up in the Town of Poughkeepsie and is a local graduate of the Spackenkill School District.  She received both her Bachelors of Science in Art Education and Masters of Art in Art Studio from the State University of New York at New Paltz.  Previous to teaching at Millbrook, she taught art in the Rhinebeck, Garrison, and Wappingers School Districts.

Elementary level art is her favorite to teach, and she loves watching her students grow in their skills and appreciation of the visual arts.  When she isn’t teaching, you can find Mrs. Schmid traveling to explore new and exciting places both far away and local with her husband, or simply enjoying a campfire at home. Mrs. Schmid recently got married in July of 2016, so most of her students remember her as Miss Holmberg.
