Kindness Club spreads love for Valentine’s Day

Alden Place Kindness Club members helped spread love to seniors at The Fountains recently by providing them with Valentine’s Day cards.

The club meets Thursdays from 3:20 to 4:30 p.m. with  teachers Tonya Pulver, Jeannine Secor, Charlene Hartley and Lori Ursini. The goal is to promote kindness.

There is always a good turnout.

“I love seeing the kids all come together to promote kindness,” Pulver said. “We have completed many activities over the past year to spread kindness in our school and community. We have created posters for our school, crafts detailing what makes us each special and painted rocks for our entrance.”

For the community the club has conducted a food drive for the Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse, made placemats for the local senior housing center.

For this projects, students made individual Valentine’s Day greetings which were brought to residents of The Fountains.
