Elm Drive Elementary celebrated its annual Spring Spirit Week April 11-14 with a different theme every day, highlighting student and staff creativity.
On April 13, students donned Hawaiian shirts, sun hats and leis with some toting towels for Beach Day. With the day’s summerlike temperatures reaching almost 90 degrees, the theme felt appropriate. Some staff even went along with the fun by wearing leis and summery clothing.
Second grader Sam, dressed in a colorful blue shirt, enjoyed the special themed day, especially when he had his picture taken outside.
“It’s good,” he said.
The other themed days included Tourist, Sports and Colors of the Rainbow, the latter of which had students in their respective grades each wearing different colors to form a rainbow.
