The Millbrook Middle School Band Program is comprised of the 6th Grade Concert Band and 7th and 8th Grade Concert Band. Concert Band is a performing ensemble that meets as a class every other day. Students study, learn, and perform many different types of instrumental literature, as well as fundamentals and skills on their primary instrument. Attendance at all concerts is mandatory unless a written excuse is provided to the instructor in advance. Each student is also required to attend instrumental lessons which are set in a rotating class period schedule. Students are evaluated through rehearsal techniques, concert and lesson attendance, and quarterly performances.  Students in the band program are expected to demonstrate commitment and dedication through outstanding attitude, effort, and achievement. The 7th and 8th Grade Concert Band participates in the Trills and Thrills adjudication in the spring, and performs on the Middle School Winter Concert, Music In Our Schools Month Concert, and Spring Arts Festival.

Prerequisite: Participated in 5th Grade Band program or permission of instructor.
